Vintage 1939, First Edition, 4th Printing. Burnt orange boards/NF w/light rubs to upper/lower spine edge; spine showing discoloration. DJ/None. Gift inscription dated Christmas, 1946 on fEP. Nina Jordan describes the dolls created this way: "In a way, yes [they are dolls], but they are far more than dolls. They are miniature people of different foreign nations ...and you can make them ... with the homes they live in and some of the things they use." In this spirit, the author shares designs for miniature people hailing from some 15 lands dressed in traditional garments, and supplemented by instructions for appropriate housing & accessories.
