NY: Doubleday; (1991). First Edition . Hardcover. Very good in a near fine dust jacket. Small spot of soiling on top edge of page block. The jacket is just a little rubbed. Gift inscription to Melba Kelton Younce on front endpaper; inscribed by the author "For Melba - with remembrances of a Kelton reunion back about 1941 at the Lea Ranch near Crane - and many reunions since - Elmer Kelton 7/27/91" on the half title page. Melba Kelton Younce is a first cousin of the author, and roughly the same age.
