New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1939. Hardcover. Fine. #25 of 500 copies signed by the author on the limitation page. 8 x 10.5 inches, 333 pp, indexed, with a color frontispiece, 103 illustrations from old prints and photographs, and endpapers and chapter heads by Wiese. Original brown cloth, stamped with a facsimile signature in gilt on the front board, in original cardboard slipcase. Book is as-new; slipcase is dust-soiled and has a few chips. Survey of the role of horse in American life. Oversized: shipping cost will be more than standard for priority or international orders.
