London: Robert F. Wilson, 1941. Complete set of colour charts produced by The British Colour Council in collaboration with The Royal Horticultural Society. Privately bound in tan leather with green cloth covered boards, leather to corners, gilt title to both spines. Contents clean and tight, unmarked, A.J. Wilmott blind embossed small stamp to both books discreet to the top of the front free endpaper, errata slip informing the owner to transpose plates 1 and 64 to which Wilmott has made a note as follows, "no: since 64 is a yellow, not a green and to my eye should preced no.1 wherefore the duplicate is useful to do so!" , hence both plates are bound in with Wilmott's corrections and striked through. A near fine set with an interesting provenance. [Alfred James Wilmott (1888 - 1950) was primarily an English botanist and museum curator. His author standard form is Wilmott and his area of interest was spermatophytes]. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Dust Jacket. 8vo (approx. 14 x 22cm). Book.
