A vivid and faithful facsimile of the 'Hours of Catherine of Cleves', sometimes called 'Guennol Hours' or 'Arenberg Hours'.'Hours' is an Gothic ornate illuminated manuscript, produced in around 1440 by an anonymous Dutch artist. The beautiful work is considered to be one of the masterpieces of European illumination. The manuscript is faithfully reproduced in this volume, with 160 vivid colour plates depicting each illuminated page. In the original slipcase, in a very good condition. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's paper covered boards, in the original slipcase. Externally, fine, with one very small mark to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Slipcase is a little faded and rubbed, in a very good condition. Very Good
