Publishers' grey cloth with gilt titles to spine in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket designed by Ina Clausen. Upper corner of upper board bumped, otherwise clean and bright with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket lightly spine sunned, and a little creased top edge. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket. Richly illustrated work which helps to bring alive Roman dwellings from tenements to villas, designs which still strongly influence decoration today. Includes detailed case studies of 17 houses of varying styles. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
