About This Item

New York Chicago San Francisco: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1971. Reprint. Hardcover with dust jacket. Very Good/Very Good. Pp. vi, [2], 3-186. Illustrated throughout with depictions of card hands. Bound in full black cloth with silver lettering stamped on spine. In the illustrated dust jacket, price-clipped and with slight edge-wear, including a couple small chips. Dust jacket is now housed in a removable, clear archival protector. Although first published in 1959, the demand for the Jacoby's Gin Rummy has led attrition on the open market. Jacoby's stature as an authority on various games, especially Bridge, was informed by his mathematical skills: in his youth he was the youngest member of the American Institute of Actuaries. A handsome copy.
