Gies and Co. Buffalo New York, 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/--. 7 7/8H x 5 1/2W x 7/16 inch. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book FINE/ Covers Very Fine. Very gently read. Boards and spine are blue cloth, lettering black. Covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, no holes, no stains, no spine creases, three slightly bent corners inwards but no cracking or damage to cloth, almost no edge wear, a few tiny creases on spine ends. Page edges slightly sunned. Inner end papers are white. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. Paging through, page 78-79 lie flat when released from the fingers but spine is not broken and paper is not torn or damaged. A few pages dog eared about 1/2 inch, restored flat. Small bit of age darkening on edges of some pages. Very clean copy. No photos. The year on the title page and the copyright page are the same 1909. Contents include By Way Of Introduction, Requirements of a Correspondent, Phonograph, Transcriber, Paper and Printing, Brevity, Courtesy, Clearness, Useless Expressions, Letters Ordering Goods, Letters of Acknowledgement, Letters Containing Enclosures, Letters of Request, Letters Answering Inquiries, Letters of Endorsement, Letters of Recommendation, Letters of Commendation.

IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
