London: George Allen and Unwin Ltd. (1948), 1948. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo. [4], 5-538, [2] pp. Bound in green cloth with gold lettering on the spine, light green topstain. Dust jacket is printed on the reverse of a map produced by the War Office during the Second World War (due to the post-war paper shortage in England). Russell is one of the most significant philosophers and logicians of the twentieth century, and was a pivotal figure in the development of analytic philosophy. A presentable copy of one of Russell's better-known later works. A Very Good book with light wear to the edges of the boards and slight warping to the front board in a Very Good lightly edge-worn price-clipped dust jacket with age toning to the rear panel and the edges of of the flaps.
