About This Item
Artia, nd(1950s) 1950. VG. 22.5 x 32 cm red cloth backed pop up scene showing Humberto's Circus. With a lion to the front and juggler to the back the boards open out to show a complex pop up scene circus scene including swinging acrobat. A complete example of this work by master paper engineer Voitech Kubasta printed for the European market and hence without the story that comes with the Bancroft edition. Externally there is a little creasing and rubbing to the corners, internally with repairs to the acrobat's arm and the front pop up. There is some strengthening to the back of the elephant riders and a little creasing to the Zebera and the Harlequin. A very nice copy of this excellent pop up. Rainford & Parris Books welcomes enquiries, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require further images or have any questions. All books are packaged with great care.
