Generally slight foxing to the plates. ; 50 parts in original wrappers. All parts present. Each part with two steel engravings. Unbound, meant to be bound into three volumes. At the end of Part 50 are two title pages, a half title, separate contents pages, etc for volumes 1, 2, and 3. "Subscription copy." "This is the only unabridged edition of the works of these standard historians published in a periodical form." .
