New York: Harper and Brothers, 1956. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 1956, stated First Edition of Salter's famous first novel. Hardcover, black and blue cloth-backed boards with titles in orange. Very Good in a Good dust jacket. Slight cocking to the spine; average shelfwear to spine ends; bottom edges of the boards lightly scraped. Contents bright, clean and unmarked throughout. The DJ with foxing to the rear panel; the red section on the spine has sunned to yellow; shallow snags to the corners; shallow chips at the crown of the spine have been backed with tape on the blank side. Original printed price and code present on the inner flap. Some wear, but still an attractive copy of a hard to find book. DJ now in mylar.
