About This Item
London: John Lane, the Bodley Head Limited, 1933. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good. v, 342 p. 19 cm. Blue cloth hardcover. Dustjacket slightly worn with small chips. Pen marks on front free endpaper.
British author Ben Travers (1886-1980) was a prolific author of plays and teleplays as well as novels and memoir. He is best remembered for his farces as his dramatic works were less successful. Hyde Side Up is a novelization of one of his early plays later made into a film (an early "talkie") called Plunder, which concerns confusion over an inheritance and a group of character gathered at a large manor house.
