Text edges tanned, else Near Fine. Dustjacket is unclipped (priced $1.50), with even toning and dusting to panels, and slightly darker toning to spine, and a small triangular chip to upper rear spine-fold; Very Good+. Sinclair's account of his 1934 California gubernatorial campaign, in which he polled nearly 900,000 votes under the "End Poverty In California" [EPIC] banner. "...the EPIC campaign changed the course of state politics in California...adding to the documentary value of the book are 38 political cartoons, mostly anti-Sinclair, which demonstrate the passions of the campaign and the vicious level at which it was sometimes fought." There was a simultaneous "Sinclair" edition; the Farrar edition is uncommon, in or out of jacket. AHOUSE A54.a.
