Hardcover. 039480080X . ; Pictorial cover has light wear to corners and spine caps and modest scuffing on back cover but clean, bright, and in very good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Three pages appear to have a printing defect in which some of the black ink very very lightly splattered in a small area of the page, otherwise, pages are clean and near pristine. Dust jacket is frayed at corners and top edge of spine panel with general wear and light soiling but bright and in good+ condition. First edition points: Publisher's price of 250/250 on DJ flap; 11 titles on rear end sheet; 12 titles on back panel of DJ; DJ protected by a brand new, clear, acid-free mylar cover. We add mylar covers to all books with DJs to preserve the DJs and add luster to magnify their beauty. (If pictured, shown without the mylar cover for an accurate representation of dust jacket. ); 11.2 X 8.3 X 0.3 inches; 72 pages .

Synopsis

If I Ran the Circus is a children's book by Dr. Seuss, published in 1956 by Random House. Although it is perhaps not the best known of Seuss's books, its title is often used in North American English as a saying for introducing an opinion. Like The Cat in the Hat, or the more political Yertle the Turtle, If I Ran the Circus develops a theme of cumulative fantasy leading to excess. The overt social commentary found in the Sneetches and the Zax demonstrates that Dr.
