New York: The Devin-Adair Company, 1958. First edition, 1958, with transmittal letter from the Chairman of the Federation of Hungarian Former Political Prisoners folded neatly at the front, along with a carbon copy of the response from Senator Purtell stapled to the front free endpaper, additional leaflet from the Media Foundation also at the front. Story of a Detroit native taken prisoner by Russians in 1945, shuttled from prison camp to prison camp, ending up at a coal mine forced labor camp at Vorkuta above the Arctic Circle. Red hardcover with gray cloth spine, illustrated dustjacket. Very good condition, good hinges, firm text block, clean pages, no other names or markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [3.75] and is also in very good condition with some edge rubbintg and very minor chipping to the spine ends.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
