This is a repriint of the volume originally published by the Vito Marcantonio Memorial in 1956, with a new introduction, bibliography of works about Marcantonio, and biography of Annette Rubinstein, the original editor, by Gerald Meyer; Marcantonio, an Italian-American radical from East Harlem, was elected to Congress for seven terms from 1934 to 1950; in additon to Marcantonio's debates, speeches, and writings, this volume includes excerpts from four of his major civil liberties cases, a brief biography by Annette Rubinstein, and 70 photographs (plain white cover with black lettering, photo of Marcantonio on the front; cover has slight edgewear, faint discoloration on back; otherwise a bright, clean, tight copy)
