London: Duckworth & Co., [1919]. [8], 117pp, [1]. Handsomely bound by Bickers & Son in contemporary gilt-tooled red half-calf, red cloth boards, T.E.G. A trifle rubbed, spine lightly sunned. Marbled endpapers, internally clean and crisp. Inscribed to recto of front blank fly-leaf: 'With many kindest remembrances from Seymour Hicks 1919.' The sole edition of actor, theatre manager, and author Seymour Hicks's (1871-1949) comic aphorisms regarding polite conduct in contemporary Britian. . First edition. 8vo.
