This copy has been professionally rebound in cloth (HC) and does not include the original wrapper. Black cloth w gilt lettering on spine. No wear to covers or spine. Binding square and sound. Duodecimo. In 1910, The Marlin Fire Arms Company took over the operation of the Ideal Manufacturing Company which had been established by John H. Barlow in 1884 to design and manufacture cartridge-reloading implements. His business was known throughout the world and his tools were in large demand among sportsmen (Brophy). This is the final Ideal Hand Book under Barlow's ownership and contains his letter certifying the sale of his business and announcing that on "Monday, May 16th, 1910, The Marlin Fire Arms Co. take over all of the machinery, tools, stock, fixtures and good will of the Ideal Mfg. Co.
