Bound in blue cloth with publisher's device printed in gilt on front board, gilt lettering stamped on spine. Offsetting to endpapers from dust jacket flaps. In the printed dust jacket that shows sunning to spine and a slight stain on the front panel; price of $3.50 intact on the front flap. Laid in is a reproduction of a full-page ad "as appearing in the New York Times Book Review June 10, 1951" that extols the author's five works with the headline "Sri Aurobindo - Master of Integral Yoga." One of the five works that comprise Sri Aurobindo's concept of an Integral Yoga program in which the divine Brahman manifests itself through "lila." Published the year of the yogi's death. Dust jacket is now housed in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
