About This Item

Mexico: Publicaciones de la Secretaria de Hacienda, 1924. Hardcover. Fair. 6 vols. Ex-library. A complete set of six oversize hardcover books in acceptable condition. Edges and boards heavily scuffed; corners worn through as well. Spine ends chipped on volumes 1 and 2. Large stain on back cover of volume 3. Due to heavy wear along the edges of volume 1's spine, the boards are not tightly attached, but will not crack off as long as they are handled gently. Library markings on spines and front covers; stamps on foredges; stamps and stickers on endpapers and title pages. Foldout graph in volume 6 is tanned and has a closed tear on the inner edge. Otherwise, main pages unmarked and tightly bound. Suitable reference copies. Text in Spanish. A comprehensive guide to Mexican church architecture, illustrated with numerous tipped-in plates. Features stunning black and white photographs by Kahlo (a German-Mexican photographer known for his architectural photography), and color paintings by Dr. Atl (the pseudonym of Mexican artist Gerardo Murillo Coronado, who was active in the Mexican Revolution). Each volume measures approx. 16.3" x 12.1
