Pagination is sometimes inconsistent throughout. Missing illustrations "Meeting of Parliament", "Boulevard de Sebastian" and "Children Nut Gathering".. Oversized/ folio red marble boards with red leather spine. Five raised bands on spine with gilt lettering and tooling. Decorative end pages. 624 pp, Lovely bw frontispiece and illustrations throughout with two large fold out color illustrations titled, "Duke of Rothsay, and Lord of the Isles" and "Past and Present" Includes a front index to all engravings. Each issue includes a series of chess moves, wills and bequests, births, marriages, deaths, times of high water at London Bridge, theatre programs, foreign and colonial news, advertisements, music, loads of gorgeous illustrations, court news, and more. A wealth of information on social, political, economic history, the arts; everything!
