Inscribed by Stewart Cockburn [who wrote the preface] to the previous owner. Illustrated with Black and White Photographs. 192 pages George Payne was a descendent of one of the legendary families of 'River Kings' the steamboat captains who pioneered trade on the Murray, Darling and Murrumbidgee Rivers. This set of memoirs are devoted principally to the author's recollections of these exciting days of Murray River transport. . 1st Edition. Hardback.
