Burlap wrapper is diagonally creased in upper right front corner. A scarcely found copy of this pamphlet which contains detailed instructions for how to weave a variety of traditional Navajo baskets. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 103 pp .

Whedon & Spreng, L.A., 1903, 1903. First Edition. Soft cover. Very Good. 1st edition. Stapled wraps under cord-ties, unusually & interestingly bound in ochre printed burlap. 103pp. Illustrated with an abundance of b/w photos, & some drawings. fos. Laid in is a large folded sheet, a dramatic drawing of a Yokut Indian Basket, "Ready For The Sun Dance", with "List of Materials" & "Color Scheme for Yokut Dance Basket", which I suspect is missing from most copies. A four inch tear is archivally closed. I cannot begin to tell you the authentic tactile feeling this book gives. A treasure. The burlap is fraying at the edges & near the binding, but is virtually complete & only with ill treatment will it suffer further loss. Vg copy.
