Description: Original mid 19th century steel-plate engraved print of the Indian massacre at Wilkesbarre in the Valley of Wyoming. The Wyoming Massacre, (July 3, 1778), took place during the American Revolution.

Colonel John Butler led a force of 1,000 loyalists and Iroquois allies against the inhabitants of the valley. Some 600 came out to meet the force and were killed.

Condition: Very Good.
Mounted. Foxing mark to bottom right corner.
