Philadelphia: George W. Gorton, 1843. First published in 1840 by Pomeroy of Philadelphia, this 1843 edition is an early reprint of the original. 321 pages. Cloth covers are worn, soiled, and show tears along edges and joints at spine. Gilt on spine is faded. Front fly leaf and illustration have been torn from the volume, as well as the rear free end leaf. A few pages are loose, but present and intact. Scattered fairly light foxing. There is a little penciled marginalia. Adequate reading copy. . Cloth - Hard Cover. Poor+/No Dust Jacket.
