Very Good. Description: Folio (13¾ × 8¾ in): frontis., t-p., xi, 663, [36] p. (the final page an advertisement). The only substantial introductory work in a systematic order to appear between Finch's Law and Blackstone's Commentaries. Although Blackstone praised Wood for putting the law in a regular order, he criticized his style as lacking proportion in the titles, being too contracted in some areas and too diffuse in others. · References: Johnson 207 (8 copies); Bridgman 367; Worrall 84; Marvin 743; S&M 1:38(88); Holdsworth, HEL 12:418-419; ESTC N7731.
