About This Item

Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1861. Unknown. Stiff wraps. Very good condition for a manual likely carried in the field. Slight loss of top of spine. Unusual pattern of something left on front glue down that does not affect anything else. Overall very nice./No Jacket. May contain as many as 88 plates according to the new part IV of Dornbusch. Actually plates are numbered, but there are two #83s and 87 is the end, hence 88 total. The officers putting together the info were Captain William French, Captain William Barry, and Bvt Major Henry J. Hunt. At least two of these men went on to big things during the War. Full of illustrations and tables. BOOK SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY FIRST SARGEANT L.F. ROOT, 2ND LIGHT BATTERY, ??? MILITIA, 1862. Not in Nevins. Dornbusch IV-11588.
