Very Good/Issued Without d/j. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. xxviii + 548 pp., 8 plates, includes frontis (each showing some foxing), numerous woodcuts, index. Edited by his son, Maj. P.W.L. Hawker. Full leather binding, re-backed (long ago), gold-foil stamping to the spine & gold-foil trim lines to the front & rear boards. Red leather label on spine. Overall v.g. cond. w/lt. wear to the edges & hinges. Binding solid, bookplate, pencilling on rear attached endpaper, very lt. foxing to a few of the front blank pp. Nice leather bound copy of this classic work.
