"Publick Instrument of Protest" written by "Notary Publick" Nesbitt detailing Captain Taylor's intended voyage from Boston to Gibraltar, in which the sloop, Little Betsey, acquired multiple leaks in transit and cargo was not able to be delivered. Other parties involved were Robert Hosea (or Hosey) and John Godard. Three liquid stains that moderately effect text (see image). Small losses at folds of paper and left edge. Doc tape connecting top and bottom halves at middle fold. Light transfer of ink to left edge from being previously folded. 12 1/2 x 15 3/4 inches.
