About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1984. Presumed first trade paperback edition/first printing indicated. Trade paperback. Good. No dust jacket. Cover has some wear and soiling.. vii, [3], 406 p. English-Greek Vocabulary. Greek-English VOcabulary This was first published and distributed privately by the author, under the same title, for classroom use only. In this book it has been assumed that the student wants to learn Greek well. Readings from Greek authors, chosed to introduce students to Greek literature, should be intellectually grammatically points. The readings were taken from a variety of sources of different ages and different philosophies, some of which the student will not have heard of before reading them. From the first principal part of verbs, the book progresses inevitably and in an orderly fashion through the tenses of the indicative to the sixth principal part, and from there to the contract verbs and then to the other modes.
