NY: W.J. Watt & Co, 1910. First edition, precedes publication of the English edition. Hard cover in original cloth. Published NY: W.J. Watt & Co., 1910, first printing - "published May" on verso. 8vo., 314pp., illustrated by Will Grefe with a color frontis and four black and white plates. Black cloth with green and yellow block, pictorial color inset and gilt titles, tissue-guarded frontis. Beginning as the novella, The Gem Collector in 1909, The Intrusion of Jimmy was substantially revised and expanded for publication as a book, issued first in the U.S. The London edition appeared six months later (November 1910) as A Gentleman of Leisure. Fray to the cloth at crown and heel, tips bit rubbed, dulling to the spine titles, light soil along edges, mild moisture stain at lower corner of page block. Pages clean and bright, binding tight. Very good minus. . 1st. Hard. Very Good Minus/No Jacket. 8vo.
