Maroon cloth boards, quarter bound yellow cloth with maroon lettering to spine. Good reading copy, no names inside. DJ desogn uncredited. Heavy, large format book and priced accordingly. ; B&W Illustrations; 240 pages; A pictorial history of the development of the American locomotive from the first engine to run on rails in 1829 through to the mighty locomotives that thundered across the American West in the latter half of the 19th century and to the dawn off the 20th. .
