Folio up to 15" tall. 385 pages. Foreword is by Ernest J. Grube, Curator, Department of Islamic Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Photographs by Otto E. Nelson. Red cloth boards, gilt titles front and spine; small bump to bottom corners, small mark near spine front board. Un clipped dust jacket is protected in mylar; two small closed tears back, very tiny chips bottom heel and top spine flaps. Text block and plates in pristine condition without flaws. Housed in a black slip box in fine condition. T Joseph V. McMullan Is considered one of the most important and influential collectors of Islamic rugs of the 20th Century. This book profiles his collection with detailed notes and 106 color plates including several large fold outs and 45 black and white illustrations. This is a rare book in beautiful condition.
