Green boards with light-green writing on spine; top and bottom of book spine rumpled. Stone lithograph image in light-green embossed on front board; very small bump to top corner of back board. Chipping and small pieces missing from topand bottom of front and back dust jacket; top and bottom of dust jacket spine has small pieces missing (largest missing piece obscuring publisher's name). Very small clips to all corners of front and back dust jacket flaps, but cover price of $3.00 is NOT obscured; tight binding and pages still look in excellent condition.
Abingdon Press First edition, First printing as indicated by no other years or editions listed on copyright page. Stone lithographs by Mel Silverman. Dated (November 10, 1962), inscribed, and signed by author on first interior page.
Fuller's novel that "again presents to the young reader a fully researched and vivid account of life in ancient times". Hardcover and original dust jacket protected by archival Mylar cover.
