Size large thick octavo, 606 pages including index, a heavy book. Green cloth covered boards with black cloth spine section, gilt titles to front cover and spine, top page edge dyed dark blue, outer edge rough trimmed, with the dust jacket. Book condition very good, cover very lightly unevenly coloured, corners and spine ends rubbed and bumped, contents are very clean. Dust jacket condition good, corners and spine ends rubbed, large tear and medium tear without loss and creasing to rear panel, glossy outer layer starting to separate at top 1/3 of front hinge and at head of spine, price clipped. Biography. Colour frontispiece and 8 black and white plates. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
