Ink gift inscription (""Compliments of the New Hanover County Public Library and Beverly Tetterton, an admiring librarian and fan"") to FO (author Dewey Lambdin) to prelim. Cream boards illustrated w green & red map, light soiling, deckled edges, frontis illustration, from the personal library of American novelist, Dewey Lambdin, with his embossed stamp to title page, clean, binding tight. Clarendon Imprint No. 3, not numbered. Two facsimile maps laid-in. Dewey Lambdin (1945-2021) was an American nautical historical novelist, best known for his Alan Lewrie naval adventure series, spanning the American Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. Includes laid-in penned personal note from friend ""Jack"" to author Lambdin explaining the gift copy received from Tetterton, ""historian to the historians,"" the regionally famed librarian and fan.
