Binding tight and solid. Biography of a great American Engineer James Hartness. Nineteenth Century when the machine became dominant factor in modern life. The debate of the time was a critical view of the machine as good as well as evil. James Hartness was of the view that the machine could enhance the human condition instead of worsen it.
