(xlv) 266pp + (34pp) notes + xxx) 267 - 509pp + (120pp) pages uncut. frontis illustration to each volume + 28 plates and 3 folding maps, spare paper title labels at end of each volume. Contents clean and tight, pencil presentation inscription to f.e.p of vol1 and pencil initial to f.e.p of vol 2. The publishers binding, ¼ grey cloth over blue marbled paper covered boards, with printed paper title label to each volume. 5mm split to top of spine of vol 2, rubbing to upper corner of front board to vol1. The bindings clean and tight. A particularly good set which is often found in poor condition.
