Edinburgh & London: William Blackwood and Sons, 1869. Book. Very Good. Hardback. First Edition. 8vo. pp. vi, [ii], 489. Colour frontispiece. A complimentary copy -"With the Publisher's Compliments" written in autograph to the top of the title page, original black end-papers. Original red cloth binding with gilt lettering to spine, gilt vignette of lotus to the front board. Binding very good with a little general wear and rubbing to extremities, very small nicks to cloth at head/tail of spine, a little marked and dust-soiled, with the spine slightly darkened. Contents clean and tight, no inscriptions, some foxing to frontispiece and half-title, small repaired tear to rear end paper. A very good tight copy..
