Japan.: No publisher.. 1954.. Calendar for 1954, 8 OF 12 brightly coloured hand-stenciled designs on mulberry paper, each measuring 14 1/2 x 11 inches, in folder with decorative color label. Sheets in very good condition, each featuring a striking seasonal design. Light creasing to corners of folder and two short edge tears. MISSING SHEETS FOR 4 OF THE MONTHS. Eight brightly coloured hand-stenciled designs on mulberry paper, enclosed in the original mulberry paper folder with decorative title label. In the style of the Keisuke Serizawa stencil calendars. Each month is a color woodblock design incorporating the days of the month, printed on Japanese paper. Designs range from stylised botanicals to depictions of lobsters and insects. The months present are: January, February, March, July, August, September, October, and November. .
