London: Bradbury and Evans, 1861. Book. Fair. Hardcover. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Lavendar cloth hardcover with gilt lettering and decorations to spine and front; stamped decorations to binding; no jacket; all edges gilt; 1861 on title page and no date elsewhere; 139 pages; color plates; b&w illustrations. Fair condition: toning to spine and outer edges of boards; moderate wear to binding; gilt on spine is dull; gilt on bottom edge of text block a little scuffed; spine very slightly cocked; inner front hinge split but holding; some splits in text block; one color plate is missing (#2: labourers transplanting rice in the rains) so there are 5 remaining and they are in very good minus and better condition..
