Hard Cover. 312 pages: 5.5 x 8 in.: 1.6: Signed by Author: KB#010085: Bookjacket/dustjacket now protected by a new Brodart Mylar Cover. This is a Limited First Edition (#42 of 110) and is SIGNED BY AUTHOR (William Gerhardi) on copyright page. Dustjacket has several small edge cuts, top edge is curled or slightly short, and overall is stained or soiled so it is considered to be in only Good condition at best. Book however is in Fine condition. Boards and pages are exceptionally clean, unmarked, brightly colored, tightly bound and sharp cornered; several pages remain uncut. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. William Alexander Gerhardi (Gerhardie) was one of the most critically acclaimed English novelists of the 1920s. Evelyn Waugh told him 'I have talent, but you have genius'. H.G. Wells also championed his work. .
