Paris: Societe Des Beaux Arts, 1894. Salon edition. Limited to 500 copies of which this is number 107. Blue leather extended spine and corners with remainder blue marble design and matching blue marble endpapers. Disbound in two sections: front cover is detached and spine and rear cover are detached together. Leather spine has four raised banks and bright gilt titles and decorations. Two small chips to top of spine and small chip to top left of front board. Gilt bands separate leather from paper boards. Bright gilt topstain. Edgewear and wear to tips. Tanned margin to fep. Pencilled price on next blank page. Illustrations by AD Lalauze; Preface by Leo Claretie. 249 bright, white pages with color illustrations coverd by tissue. We noted extremely light foxing on margins of several pages. Rough cut pages have tanned edges. A lovely volume, worth restoring. We have other Societe Des Beaux Arts limited editions available.
