1874 EXQUISITE Saint Louis IX Medieval France Joinville Crusades French Wailly
Jean de Joinville was a 13th-century French historian who is best known for his biographical work on the life of Saint Louis, or King Louis IX of France. This work is perhaps the most authentic and best account of the King Louis leadership during the Seventh Crusade. This 1874 French edition was collected and edited by J Natalis de Wailly. Wailly includes impressive facsimile views of original portions of Joinville's text.
