F/F, used but looks like new, black faux-leather with gilt text on spine and upper, vii-xi, 287pp plus family tree to rear. Interior clean and bright, no marks except Jeff Cooper's signature and date at top edge of the title page and the authors inscription to a former owner, her signature and date toward the bottom of the title page, binding tight. There is a small fold and tear to the hinge at the front paste-down and the front free end paper, made during binding. DJ is clean and bright, no chips or tears and dj is enclosed in protective sleeve..
