About This Item

Le Roy, NY: The Genesee Pure Food Company, 1920. staplebound. White illustrated wraps, Fine. 14 pages, 10.5 x 15.5 cm. The recipe booklet Jell-O, America's Most Famous Dessert, features a young and nicely dressed woman in an apron on the cover sitting at her table, checking through an account book, with boxes of Jell-O sitting nearby. This is a large part of the Jell-O marketing at the time, presenting it as economical way to bring beautiful desserts to the masses. There is a short folded collection of recipes tied into the middle of this book for ice creams made with the Jell-O Ice Cream Powder with vivid illustrations.
