New York.: Dodd, Mead & Company.. 1914.. 12 color plates, 5 black and white plates, black and white in-text illustrations throughout, plain endpapers, 173pp, 8 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches (22 x 29.8 cm), cloth-covered boards (hardbound) with full size color pictorial cover label. Wear to covers with spot on left wing of Mother Goose on front cover, spotting to spine; endpapers toned, first several pages considerably foxed then occasional scattered foxing throughout (affecting two plates), several plates loose, one plate with repaired tear just affecting image. In this large format the Jessie Willcox Smith illustrations are really stunning. Nudelman A39 (this is probably the third printing of the first edition, although there is a blank sheet before the half title and at the end of the book). .
