Bound in quarter brown calf, and marbled paper over boards; spine lettered and decorated in gilt; illustrated with three of four full page engravings in the text, missing plate at p.181. Spot to bottom edge causing corresponding small spot or foxing to very bottom edge pps. 165-225, otherwise light wear and a clean copy. Text in French. Translation of the Lamb's, Mrs. Leicester's School, first published in 1809. .
