Hardback: no dj, beige cloth decorated and lettered in black on front & spine, spine is faded and worn on tips, corners and front edge slightly bumped and rubbed, oval picture pasted on the front (slightly worn on edges), front hinge re-glued, colour frontispiece + 2/3 b/w plates by ELIZABETH EARNSHAW, one b/w plate missing and one plate loose and frayed, presentation label on flyleaf, some internal marks, a couple of pages have small pieces missing, fair. thick 8vo, 212pp.
